About School Counselors: School Counselor : A School Counselor is a certified and professionally trained educator who provides academic, career, college readiness, and social-emotional support to students within a school setting. Mental Health Counselor: A Mental Health Counselor is a licensed professional who helps individuals, couples, and families manage and overcome emotional, psychological, and behavioral challenges.
